The Njanjma Ranger Program was established in 2014 in response to community wishes to protect and improve the health of Njanjma country and culture. Since its inception, the program has a strong track record of creating jobs for community members, while also delivering a number of positive outcomes beyond (but linked to) employment; including improving personal well-being, providing general work skills (including literacy and numeracy), fostering positive community role-models, protecting and reinvigorating cultural heritage, and protecting local environments.
