We have been setting up camera traps in the Red Lily Area to find out what animals live there. Camera traps sense movement and work by taking photos of animals that pass by them in the night. We chose different sites where we expected cats and possibly quolls to be living. In the first few weeks of the program our traps took photos of a number of feral cats. These images are very useful because we can use them to strategically deploy cat traps at the sites where the cats are living.
